Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that takes place in the 1950's follows police officer Long Fei as he launches an investigation to find the informant who betrayed the party.

Long Fei (Liu Yunlong) is a police officer of the Beijing Public Security Bureau. He and his colleague Ying Shanhong (Zhang Xiyun) receive orders to report for work in Jiangnan. It was the place where Long Fei who used to be an underground agent would spend time with his former lover He Zi (Claudia Wang). However, the two were eventually separated and He Zi was nowhere to be found.

In his subsequent work, Long Fei discovers that He Zi is inextricably linked to the arrest of a their comrade. With the help of Ying Shanhong, Long Fei gathers important evidence and witnesses. However, every piece of clue he finds seems clear as day yet also murky as mud. Can he finally uncover the truth?
