Synopsis and Plot Summary
Anarhan is the daughter of a poor farmer in the Kashgar Prefecture who rebels against the deception and intimidation of a tyrannical land owner. Through the help of the People's Liberation Army, she puts up a fight and ultimately finds happiness.
Set in the late 1940's and early 1950's during the time before and after the liberation of Xinjiang is a poor and backwards village in the Southern Xinjiang countryside. Anarhan is a beautiful and kind Uyghur girl who falls into a romance with the simple and brave Courban (Ablikim Ablet).
Uzmanbok who is the great landlord in the countryside intends to present Anarhan as a concubine for Commissioner Iming, the highest ruler of the region. Anarhan is unwilling to submit but finds her and her family brutally persecuted. With the People's Liberation of Army advancing towards Xinjiang, she finds renewed hope to fight her oppressors.
