Synopsis and Plot Summary
It tells the story of an ex bomb disposal officer who wakes from a coma to learn that he has become the prime suspect of a terrorist attack. After being imprisoned, he escapes to investigate the case on his own in order to prove his innocence.
A series of bombings have threatened Hong Kong and sparked fear amongst the public. Former bomb disposal officer Poon Singfeng (Andy Lau) becomes the primary suspect in an explosion after he falls unconscious at the crime scene. With the police suspecting him of having close ties with the syndicate, Poon Singfeng is interrogated and imprisoned for a crime he did not commit.
Poon Singfeng sets out to investigate the case with the help of his friend Tung Cheukman (Sean Lau) who is also a bomb disposal officer. The two quickly fall into a conflict with their different definitions of good and bad. Tung Cheukman is left at a crossroad—he must choose between his idea of justice and his friendship with Poon Singfeng. Meanwhile, Poon Singfeng’s ex-girlfriend Pong Ling (Ni Ni) who is currently a chief inspector is also investigating the bombings. She talks Poon Singfeng into conducting undercover work for the police. Seeing it as a way to prove his innocence, Poon Singfeng agrees, yet he also realizes that his quest for justice means that he could lose his life at any second…
