Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story exploring the Chinese legal system follows a man who is determined to uncover the mystery behind his parents deaths.
Orphaned and homeless after the death of his parents, a young Tang Jibai (Wang Renjun) gets adopted by Dongfang Huo. Years later, Tang Jibai grows up to be a successful legal professor while Dongfang Zhi (Zhang Jingjing) has become an ace lawyer.
Tang Jibai becomes embroiled in a case that lands him in prison. Even though he acts uncharacteristically towards her, Dongfang Zhi is determined to help Jibai clear his name. Meanwhile, Ma Ze'an (Shen Jianhong) who is the young owner of Tianjin Law Firm becomes attracted to Dongfang Zhi and starts to boldly pursue her. With mysteries piling and a conspiracy to solve, Tang Jibai and Dongfang Zhi find themselves occasionally at odds, yet their relationship only grows stronger over time.
