Synopsis and Plot Summary
From 1925 to 1927, five brothers walk different paths due to their differences in beliefs.
In the struggle against warlord Zhang Zongchang (Ma Dong), Gong Jinshou (Yang Shuo), Nie Tianhong (Li Junfeng), Yang Lin, Sun Jingyu (Wu Qijiang) and Han Dongshui (Qin Yiming) are five young men with no blood relations who decide to become sworn brothers due to their kinship. Together, they join the great revolution led jointly by the Kuomintang and the Communists. As the two parties begin to diverging ideals, the relationship between the five brothers also begin to change as they are forced to choose sides.
