Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story tells of the open-minded divorcee, Xia Donghai, who marries Liu Mei and forms a family with her. As their kids grow older, so do the problems they face as a family.
Xia Donghai (Gao Yalin) and Liu Mei (Song Dandan) are very concerned for the welfare and education of their children. Their eldest daughter, Xia Xue (Danlin), has failed her college entrance exams. After several unsuccessful jobs, she returns to school to become a student again. Their rebellious son, Liu Xing (Zhang Yishan), is a high school student preparing for the gaokao (college entrance examinations). Their youngest son, Xia Yu (You Haoran), is in the fifth grade.
