Synopsis and Plot Summary
There is a saying that marriage is not about two people, but about two families. This is a story that tells us about the battles of a family.
Chen Shuangyan (Cao Xiwen) and Lin Yifan (Guo Xiaodong) are in love. Yifan is the perfect son-in-law except that he has been divorced before. Lin Yifan's mother (Pan Hong), a surgeon, does not like Shuangyan due to her poor background. In addition, she already favors her former daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
Chen Shuangyan and Lin Yifan's mothers are schoolmates who cannot tolerate the idea that they will be in-laws. Shuanglong (Zheng Qi), the twin brother of Shuangyan likes Xiaojing (Chen Yanfei) who is Yifan's younger sister. However, Xiaojing is only playing with him and has no intentions of marriage. With the two matriarchs at war with each other, what will become of their families?
