Synopsis and Plot Summary
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the princess of a fallen kingdom seeks revenge against those who wronged her. In the journey, she is caught between two powerful heads of state.
Ma Fuya (Ruby Lin) is the beloved princess of Chu kingdom. In a time of relentless warfare and killings, she is a doctor with a vocation to save as many lives as she can. Her kindness catches the attention of Liu Liancheng (Wallace Huo), the King of Northern Han who falls for her even more when she mesmerizes everyone in the palace through a performance of the Nine Days Phoenix Dance. He proposes to her on the spot, but she boldly refuses.
On the same night, her uncle rises in rebellion and kills her father with a stab through the heart. Loses her family, her home and her country overnight, the once carefree princess vows to take revenge. How will Ma Yafu survive long enough to rise to power? In her relations with Liu Liancheng and Meng Qiyou (Yan Yikuan), the King of Shu kingdom, can she balance their interests to achieve her goal?
