Synopsis and Plot Summary
A middle-aged man returns to his hometown and searches for his lover 12 years ago.
Because of his father's passing, Luo Hongwu (Huang Jue) sets foot in his hometown of Guizhou once again. Twelve years earlier, his friend Bai Mao (Li Hong-chi) was killed. In the process of tracking down the killer Zuo Hongyuan (Chen Yongzhong), the killer's lover Wan Qiwen (Tang Wei) becomes Luo Hongwu's obsession.
Fun Facts
- Filming took place in Guizhou.
- Filming lasted almost five months from June to October 2017.
- It is Tang Wei's comeback to the big screen after having a baby.
- Tang Wei, Huang Jue and Chen Yongzhong's characters names are based on names of real actors and musicians. The female lead's name was changed from Momoe Yamaguchi to Joey Meng.
- The female lead was written for Tang Wei and the process of casting her in the movie was very fast. It was confirmed after Bi Gan met Tang Wei.
- Bi Gan got sick while directing the movie. He had to receive surgery and take antibiotics for a long time.
- Lee Hong-chi filmed on the set for two months but due to the needs of the story, his scenes were reduced to a few minutes. He even had a scene where he had to eat seven or eight apples continuously.
