Synopsis and Plot Summary
A detective who tries to do right by the law gets caught between a rock and a hard place as he investigates the truth behind a seemingly ordinary suicide case.
A mechanic commits suicide after experiencing a grave injustice. Detective Sun Dasheng (Wang Qianyuan) launches his investigation and discovers that the simple civil dispute involves a greater conspiracy. As he gets closer to uncovering the culprit, Zhao Tai (Bao Bei'er) and Cui Jingmin (Wang Xun) who represent a nefarious group openly challenges the authority of the police. In the face of repeated provocations, pressure from his superiors and threats against his family, a dangerous match begins.
