Synopsis and Plot Summary
An honest scholarly meets Nie Xiaoqian, a woman who is possessed by a fox spirit, yet the two fall madly in love with each other despite the obstacles in their way.
A demonic aura pervades the Lanruo Temple. Nie Xiaoqian (Fu Xiao) is possessed by a fox demon and forced to do the bidding of Yecha Lao Lao to victimize travellers. Being good-natured and kind, Xiaoqian feels bad for the things she has to do, but her situation only worsens when she is betrothed to the despicable Hei Shan Lao Yao. When all Xiaoqian can do everyday is to wash her face with tears, a man named Ning Caichen (Li Hao) appears and lifts the burden that she carries in her heart. As the two fall in love, Yan Chixia who is a demon hunter who stop at nothing to rid the world of evil crashes into their lives. What will happen to the tragic lovers?
