Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story about a blended family that resides inside a siheyuan in Beijing. Because of Grandma, the family tells a white lie that ignites a chain of events and the ups and downs that they encounter brings them closer as a family.
Meihua Handicrafts is an old shop with a hundred-year tradition. Their skills were once famous across all of Beijing, but business has waned along with changing times. Jin Mantang (Tu Songyan) who is the family's son-in-law has taken over. Relying on his eloquence, he has kept their livelihood by maintaining a relationship with old-time customers.

Two years ago, Jin Mantang's wife died in a car accident. As Grandma fell gravely ill from the loss of her daughter, the family scrambled to fulfill Grandma's wishes. As a temporary measure, Jin Mantang is forced to 'marry' Hui Lian (Huang Man) who is the nanny. To everyone's relief, Grandma is brought back from heaven's door. However, she wakes up with no recollection of her daughter's passing which leaves the family no choice but to continue a lie.
