Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story during the period of anti-Japanese occupation that revolves around a battle between the Lingmu brothers and a man who wants to defend his country.
During the month of June in the year 1939, the Japanese army in the North has set their sights on the South. The Lingmu brothers suddenly change course to attack Qing City in the dead of the night. The Nationalist army flee in panic and the consequences from their defeat severe. Zheng Shaojun (Guo Jingfei) witnesses his comrades dying with his own eyes which pushes him to step up in a fight against the Japanese. When the rightists of the party misinterpret his courage for disobedience, an issue is ordered to kill Zheng Shaojun on the spot. At this time, Du Juan arrives with the combatants from the Eight Route Army. The chance encounter saves his life and leads him to discover the truth behind the massacre of Qing City.
