Synopsis and Plot Summary

A royal from a sacred tribe combines Qing Nang Shu with Eastern and Western practices to cure the sick and save the dying.

Mu Xingchen (Li Hongyi) who comes from the Shen Mu Tribe has been studying medicine for years. When Ye Yunshang (Zhao Lusi), a young woman from a family of doctors, barges into their territory, he saves her from trouble and ends up running away with her. Wanting to escape the politics within his family, Xingchen tries his luck in the normal world. His journey takes him to a place afflicted by a rare kind of the plague. Despite the trials, he goes on a road to becoming a master of medicine all whilst finding love.

Fun Facts

Filming lasted three months beginning on March 9, 2018 and ending on June 1, 2018.
It is Li Hongyi and Zhao Lusi's first time working together. They went for hotpot together on the day they met.
Although Li Hongyi and Zhao Lusi are born in the same year, Zhao Lusi reveals that Li Hongyi who is four years older is like an old man.
Zhang Yao reunites with director Chuor Hei Wo after God of Lost Fantasy.
It is Zhao Lusi, Feng Junxi and Zheng Liu first time acting in a drama set in the Republican era.
