Synopsis and Plot Summary
A survival of the fittest that takes place in a distant future. To save her sister who is terminally ill, Lin Ziqi heads to the Arctic Region in search for her last hope no matter how dangerous the journey.
Lin Ziqi (Liang Jing) is medical student with a rebellious streak. Her older sister (Li Landi) who suffers from a terminal illness and has been in a frozen state has started thawing ahead of time by accident. Under the guidance of Professor Yao (Zhao Lixin), Lin Ziqi travels to the northernmost region of the world to find a cure and they encounter a place filled with dangerous beings that lust for blood in the darkness.
Fun Facts
- Filming lasted around two months beginning in December 2015 and ending in January 2016.
- Filming took place in Beijing.
- Liang Jing did all of her own stunts.
- The cast thought that they would be heading to the Arctic Region for filming but discovered that filming was only at Huairou District in Beijing and that they had to use their imagination to to act out the scenes using a green screen.
