Synopsis and Plot Summary
Ray Breslin leads a team of security experts to escape from the most fortified prison in the world.
Zhou Shu (Huang Xiaoming) is abducted by masked men and taken to a prison called Hades, a place that is meant to lock away dangerous convicts. To save Zhou Shu, Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) has called in Trent DeRosa (Dave Bautista) who is an old acquaintance of his for help. Ray's plan is to get captured on purpose in order to infiltrate the prison and work with Zhou Shu from the inside to plot their escape.

- It is the sequel to the 2013 film Escape Plan.
- Sylvester Stallone and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson reprise their roles from the previous film.
- The movie tanked in the Chinese box office and failed to recoup production costs. The movie is being released straight to DVD in the US though it was released in theaters in China and other countries.
