Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story about a young woman who raises parrots in her apartment and keeps getting phone calls for someone named Johnny.
Xi Ziqi (Rima Zeidan) who has been living alone in Taipei is trying to figure out what direction she must take in life. As she aspires for simplicity, she also becomes entangled in a complicated relationship with her boyfriend. Oddly enough, she often gets phone calls from someone looking for Johnny. The phone calls along with her pet parrots become a source of comfort. Li Li (Sean Huang) who lives downstairs from Xu Ziqi is the landlady's son. His monotonous existence is disrupted when he discovers that Xu Ziqi sneaks parrots while taking the subway. Zhang Yifeng (Lawrence Ko) is a foreman who works nearby. One day, his car which is his most prized possession breaks down.

- Rima Zeidan won the Golden Horse Award for Best Newcomer.
- It is the first film written and directed by Huang Xi. She was nominated for a number of awards and won Best Screenplay at the 19th Taipei Film Awards.
