Synopsis and Plot Summary
The time travel saga brings the main protagonist back to his own time.
General He Ying (Donnie Yen) uses the time traveling apparatus to return to the Ming Dynasty where they discover that the Japanese have colluded with corrupt officials in a conspiracy that could destroy the Ming empire. With the help of Xiao Mei (Eva Huang), He Ying starts a battle to protect his countrymen.
Fun Facts
- After the premiere date was set, Donnie Yen expressed that he was not aware that the movie was being released. It was filmed a long time ago and he doesn't remember it, nor was he informed of the release.
- Tensions ran high when the production released a list of their grievances towards Donnie Yen and blamed him for causing problems with the movie. Donnie Yen wrote an angry response via weibo and said that he will be taking legal action.
