Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that revolves around 14 years of anti-Japanese occupation efforts. Song Yan Qiao is a guerrilla fighter who assumes the identity of a legendary hero and becomes a hero himself.

As a member of the anti-Japanese underground, Song Yanqiao (Zhang Luyi) receives an unusual mission to seek out the legendary hero named Yan Hongguang. However, the plan is compromised from the very beginning, resulting in the death of a good friend and the loss of communication with the higher ups. Song Yanqiao hatches a plan to infiltrate the prison to find the traitor. After Japan invades Manchuria in 1931, Song Yanqiao manages to find Yan Hongguang but he dies serving the country. Left with no choice, Song Yanqiao assumes Yan Hongguang's identity to continue the fight.

Fun Facts

Filming took place in Mount Fenghuang, Harbin, Shenyang, Lushunkou District and Shanghai.
Zhang Luyi and Tong Liya did not use a double for their own stunts.
There were 632 actors in the entire production.
