Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story revolving around a successor of the Qiao Family who advocates financial reform to create a single currency.
Qiao Ying Ji (Zhang Bo) is the fifth generation descendant of the Qiao Family. On the day of the Xinhai Revolution, he travels from Guangzhou to Wu Chang to join the war as a revolutionary. After emerging victorious, Qiao Ying Ji ventures into money exchange and relies on his famly's influence and reputation to form partnerships with the local government in Shanxi in establishing a private-owned bank. However, he falls into the manipulations of the Jin Yong who is motivated by greed and Cui Wang Bai who is hellbent on destroying the Qiao Family. The two plot to exploit Qiao Ying Ji's idea by turning it into a tool to steal from ordinary citizens in a quest to help Yuan Shi Kai gain power. Upon realizing this, Qiao Ying Ji sparks into action to put a stop to their plan.
