Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story that follows Lin Jiuge, the daughter of the police chief, who is imprisoned for a crime she did not commit. Through the help of young policeman Long Tianyu, she overcomes many obstacles and catches the real culprit.
Towards the beginning of the Republican era, Lin Jiuge (Ju Jingyi) saves Leng Nianzhi (Zhang Yuxi) from danger and they become best friends. Leng Nianzhi is the young miss of the Leng family who returns to China after living abroad. Nianzhi aspires to create equal opportunities for women by building an all-girls school but she faces hurdles at every turn. Lin Jiuge's relentless support and encouragement leads to the successful establishment of the school. She recruits policeman Long Tianyu (Aaron Yan) to help out and the three learn to work together in dealing with the challenges of operating an educational institution.
Lin Jiuge is a woman ahead of her time who is full of unconventional ideas. Long Tianyu becomes attracted to her bright and enthusiastic personality. However, Lin Jiuge faces a dilemma when she learns that Nianzhi also likes Long Tianyu. Meanwhile, Nianzhi's older brother Leng Liwei (Han Dong) has his own motives. With the backing of the government, he makes trouble for the heroine who must rely on her wits and will to fight for the things and the people that she cares about.
