Synopsis and Plot Summary
As Ji Fa and Yin Jiao follow the king in attacking the nine tribes, they inadvertently save the nine tribes princess. Their meeting marks the beginning of a complicated relationship between Ji Fa, Yin Jiao, Ling Yao and Da Ji.
Near the end of Shang Dynasty, the King of Zhou believes the fallacies spun by Da Ji (Bai Xue) that has turned him into a ruler who is vicious beyond measure. He begins persecuting righteous officials and turns life into a living hell for his people much to Da Ji's delight as she has been possessed by a fox demon.
Ji Fa (Zhang Rui), the son of the Count of the West, has decided to rally the troops to uphold justice. During his time as a hostage in Zhao Ge, the capital of the Shang Dynasty, Ji Fa forms a deep brotherhood with King Zhou's son Yin Jiao (Liu Xueyi). They become united in their common hatred for the King's bloodthirsty and lascivious ways. However, Da Ji sows intrigue to turn them against each other with her actions foreshadowing an impending fight between good and evil.
