Synopsis and Plot Summary
A touching story of how an old soldier searches for his war buddy. Qi ChangFu (Xu Huan Shan) receives a call from a former comrade but is unable to remember who he is due to Alzheimer’s disease. He suddenly understands the severity of his condition, knowing that he may forget the most important of memories. Thus, he decides to set out and find his old comrades that have been with him through thick and through thin, wanting to meet them before his health gets worse. With the help of his grandson (Wang Liang), he conquers numerous challenges, setting out to search for his old friends…
The movie is told from the perspective of an old soldier, narrating the friendship between comrades that have gone through heaven and hell. It also shows the bravery and courageousness of citizens during the war of Laiwu and the outcome of the revolution.
