Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story narrates how Lou DaZuo, at an old age, manages to discipline and care for two naughty children. It also narrates how he was able to overcome many difficulties and hindrance and how he was able to bring happiness to his family.
As Luo DaZuo’s (Lin Yongjian) dream woman, Tan LiMing, reaches the right age to get married, she unfortunately passes away because of a car accident. Luo DaZuo is left in grief and pain but what surprised him is that Tan LiMing has two children – the problematic 17-year-old teenage girl, Kang Ni and the naughty 6-year-old boy, Kang Kai. In the blink of an eye, Luo DaZuo becomes the stepfather of the two.
Just as Luo DaZuo frets about the problems coming his way, the biological father of the two children comes to claim the rights over them. Fate entangles Luo DaZuo in a war with life. To appease his late wife, Luo DaZuo bears the role of “stepfather” to ensure that they live a good life.
