Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story revolving around an 8-people team that form the 'Dragon Attack Squad' in the Chinese Navy as they strive to protect the nation's interest and play a crucial role in a rescue operation abroad to save their countrymen.
In Somalian waters, a ship gets ambushed and the crew is held hostage and the team sparks into action in order to save everyone onboard. On the way back, a political war threatens the lives of the locals and Chinese nationals in a neighboring African nation and they must again risk their lives for the next rescue mission.

- It is the second installment to Dante Lam's war film series, the first being Operation Mekong.
- It is produced by Bona Film Group in collaboration with the Arts Center of the People's Liberation Army of China.
- Filming took place in Casablanca, Dubai, Zhanjiang and Hainan.
