Synopsis and Plot Summary

The story is about the interesting adventures of Ye XiaoTian, a prison guard heading to HuGuang to deliver a final will but instead gets involved in the conflicts of the Ming dynasty.

Ye XiaoTian (Xu Haiqiao) is tasked to deliver a final will to its intended recipient. Due to the importance of the task, he is chased by assassins, forcing him to flee to QianDong. One of the high ranking officials – Ai Feng, travels to Qian Dong to accept his new post and to investigate the unlawful activities of Yang YingLong (Gallen Luo). On the way to QianDong, Ai Feng is killed by Yang YingLong’s men.

In order to avoid any charges of negligence, governor Hua QingFeng (Fang Qingping) asks Ye XiaoTian to pretend to be Ai Feng. Although Ye XiaoTian is just a prison guard, he refused to be a mere puppet and hopes to make a mark in the history books thus beginning a career in politics.
