Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story that follows the director of the ER department and a doctor from overseas as they measure up against each other, understand each other and eventually fall into a romance as they work together to help patients.
Jiang Xiaoqi is an emergency doctor who's returned to China after studying abroad in the US. She encounters a thief who suddenly falls unconscious after stealing from her. She immediately takes him to the ER where she runs into He Jianyi, the head of the department, as he oversees an amputation surgery. Due to the differences in Western and Eastern practices, the two find themselves immediately on opposite sides.
On this same day, a mental patient causes a scene at the emergency room which leads to the death of a doctor. He Jiangyi is devastated as he feels partly responsible. Jiang Xiaoqi ends up working at the same place and quickly wins the approval of her colleagues while Assistant Director Liu Hui Min is threatened at having yet another fierce competitor. Meanwhile, He Jianyi observes Jiang Xiaoqi and the two get to know each other through their work.
