Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story revolving around a Hong Kong police officer who gets mixed with the triads as he embarks on a desperate search for his missing daughter.
After learning that his daughter Li Yong Zhi (Hanna Chan) suddenly disappeared while vacationing in Thailand, Li Zhong Zhi (Louis Koo) immediately flies to the country and requests for help from the local police. Cui Jie (Wu Jie) who is the office-in-charge allows Li Zhong Zhi to join in the investigation. Li Zhong Zhi uses the media to encourage the public to offer up evidence, and a video clip that happens to catch the events of Yong Zhi's kidnapping is uploaded to the police website. It is purposely deleted, thus starting Cui Jie and Tak (Tony Jaa) on a dangerous chase. Li Zhong Zhi continues on his goal to find his daughter only to realize that there is a case within a case and a mysterious figure behind the scenes.

- Filming took place in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
- Louis Koo won his first Best Actor award for the movie. He continued to nab multiple Best Actor awards across multiple awarding bodies, one of which is the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards.
- To better play the role, Louis Koo had special lessons from Sammo Hung. Sammo Hung won Best Action Choreography during the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards in 2018.
- The critically-acclaimed movie won many nominations across different categories.
