Synopsis and Plot Summary
Through good times and bad times, a group of young men and women give in to their audacious desires. At the center of the story is Qiu Shui and his complex relations with two women while forming a bond with a group of friends during a time of their lives that is full of nostalgia.
To achieve his parents' wishes for him to pursue medicine, Qui Shui (Zhang Yishan) enters medical school in the 1990s. He meets new people as a medical student undergoing mandatory military training. Zhao Yingnan (You Jingru), one of his friends, becomes his lover. She is the commander's daughter - strong, composed and privileged in many ways. Even if she seems to be the right choice for him, problems arise due to their differences over his dream of having a literary career. Yet throughout the entire time, Xiao Hong (Zhou Dongyu) has always stayed by his side.
