Synopsis and Plot Summary

A musical genius deals with a hearing impairment and hits the lowest point in life as he deals with problems in love and life, yet he manages to find the courage to move forward in a story about healing.

Fang Hao Sheng (Wallace Chung) is distraught after the sudden loss of his hearing. Despite having his dream extinguished before his eyes, he endures the pains alone as he and his girlfriend Chen Yu who is his perfect match in every way have already broken up. He decides to go abroad to teach and encounters language teacher Han Han (Wang Xiao Chen) whose warm and caring nature begins to mend his wounds.

The two fall into a romance but it doesn't last as Fang Hao Sheng's father is against their relationship to the point of having a permanent falling out with his son. At the same time, troubles in business start brewing for the Fang family and a jealous ex also comes back into the picture.

Filming took place in Shanghai and Austria.
Filming lasted close to five months beginning April 7, 2017 to August 28, 2017.
Before filming began, Wallace Chung took the time to learn the violin, piano, conducting and sign language.
Wallace Chung has previously released a song with the exact same Chinese title as the drama.
The main character's name is Fang Hao Sheng and Sheng is the pinyin for the word sound which is in keeping with the theme of the drama.
