Synopsis and Plot Summary

An ancient love story between a lady and a man known as the god of war.

Mu Qing Mo (Victoria Song) is a kind-hearted girl from a powerful family. Chi Yun (Huang Xiaoming) is a natural warrior whose name strikes fear in his enemies. A chance encounter inside a forest brings them together and causes Chi Yun to fall madly in love with her. Years later, the two meet again. Chi Yun tries to get close to her even as she has no recollection of their first meeting. Mu Qing Mo's brother arranges for her to marry Lingyun Kun Lun (Peter Sheng) which causes more problems for the star-crossed lovers.

Filming took place in Xiangshan Movie & Television Town and Hengdian World Studios.
Baron Chen was initially in the cast but he backed out due to a leg injury so Zhai Tianlin took over the part.
Victoria Song shared that a lot of her personal interactions with co-star Huang Xiaoming were related to food and it was an enjoyable collaboration. The two were dubbed as the 'durian cp' as they were both eating durian on set.
It is the prequel to "Lost You Forever" that's been adapted into a drama starring Yang Zi and Zhang Wanyi.
