Synopsis and Plot Summary

A cute and heartfelt romance between two polar opposites as a foxy lady who routinely lies falls in love with a CEO who works like a human lie detector.

Gu Cheng Ze (Jiang Chao) is a strict, no-nonsense CEO of a department store. He was adopted by Mrs. Gu as a child and has always played the role of the responsible and trustworthy son to repay the family's kindness. He has a brother, Gu Jin Yun, the real successor and wayward son of the family who only cares about playing. Mrs. Gu arranges for the brothers to work together so that Gu Jin Yun might learn the ropes of business.

Gu Cheng Ze encounters fashion designer Li Yan Shu (Tan Song Yun) and instantly finds her to be a pathological liar. He tries to avoid her because his allergy acts up whenever he hears a lie, not to mention that he's a germaphobe who shies from human contact. He learns that she is Gu Jin Yun's ex-girlfriend and decides to hire her because it might be of help to Gu Jin Yun and yet things don't always go as planned.

Shen Cang Mei who authored the source novel also wrote the screenplay in collaboration with You Er.
Filming lasted three months from August 2, 2016 to October 31, 2016 in Beijing, China.
It is part of the dramas that were affected by the Hallyu Ban, an unofficial ban that was in effect in China to restrict all forms of Hallyu aka Korean Wave due to the political disagreement between China and Korea over THAAD. My Amazing Boyfriend actor Kim Tae Hwan was originally casted as the main lead and even appeared with the cast during a press conference. However, he was replaced by Jiang Chao due to the Hallyu Ban.
