Second Sister Huang Da Ni

A story about a single mother, her family and the relationships that have developed over 30 years.

In the 1960's, Huang Da Ni loses contact with her husband Sun Mu Lin who has just gone to collect their marriage license. Since she was already pregnant at the time, she marries Master Niu instead. Sun Mu Lin returns from the dead hoping to reconnect with his wife but she already has a family of her own and has given birth to Niu Jian Bang, her son with Sun Mu Lin.

Eighteen years later, Master Niu passes away. Sun Mu Lin wishes to marry Huang Da Ni so that he can legitimately be with her and their child. However, Sun Mu Lin's wife with whom he has been separated with for some time refuses to agree to a divorce, thus causing problems for the couple as well as their son who has to acknowledge Master Liu as his father.

• Filming took place in Xi'an, China.
• The drama first aired on November 21, 2016 and was re-aired on major networks in early 2017.
• Wang Qian Hua had to lose 20 pounds for the role.
• Shen Hang who was the director and also the leading man is married to Wang Qian Hua in real life.
