Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story towards the end of the Warring States Era about the Ba sisters as they experience being ostracized by the nobles due to the downfall of their family. Ba Qing goes from a powerless woman to the epitome of power.

When she was 17 years old, Ba Qing (Fan Bing Bing) and her two older sisters arrive in Xianyang to find work. Ba Qing is skilled in medicine and through a chance encounter ends up saving Ji Dan (Yan Yi Kuan). He then recommends her for a job. After proving herself by helping the Empress Dowager through a difficult pregnancy, she gets promoted as a palace doctor. Ba Qing makes many friends due to her personality and her mantra to help as many people as she can and she also catches the eye of the Qin Emperor (Gavin Gao).

Filming ended October 2017.
It is one of the most expensive productions in 2017 reaching as high as RMB 500 million.
Fan Bing Bing invited Angela Pan to join the cast three times before she agreed.
Xu Fan returns to the small screen to play a villain.
It is the first drama announced as part of ATV's revival and the drama will air in Hong Kong the same time as in Mainland China.
In March 2018, Gao Yunxiang was involved in a huge controversy after reports that he has been arrested in Sydney for sexually assaulting a woman.
As part of damage control, the production team considered reshooting Gao Yunxiang's scenes with Dylan Kuo, but passed on the idea due to the cost of reshoots. Later on, Li Chen was spotted with the Win the World cast and there were rumors that his face will be added using CGI.
In June 2018, Fan Bingbing was accused of signing yin yang contracts to evade taxes. After her disappearance from the public and several allegations that she has been arrested, the court released a verdict finding her guilty of tax evasion and slapping heavy fines on the actress.
