Synopsis and Plot Summary
It is about a straight-A student who meets the most handsome and smartest heartthrob of Qingda computer science department. Their love story began when they incidentally met through an online role-playing game and later met each other in person.
Bei WeiWei (Zheng Shuang), a pretty, hardworking and intelligent student is determined to do well in school in order to fulfill her dream of becoming a game developer. She uses the alias “Luwei Weiwei” in an online role-playing game that she constantly plays. After refusing to upload her actual photos online, she is ruthlessly abandoned by her partner “ZhenShui WuXiang” (Ryan Zhang He) and ends up catching the attention of Xiao Nai (Yang Yang), the number one player in their guild. To win the “Knight Challenge”, WeiWei delightfully agrees to make an alliance with Xiao Nai and to team up for the competition.
The two of them established empathy as they go through many adventures together. Regardless, whether it’s in the virtual world or in reality, Xiao Nai has outstanding skills. When WeiWei discovers this, they have already fallen in love with each other.

- It is produced and distributed by GCOO Entertainment. which was also behind Boss & Me and My Sunshine. Both are idol dramas based on novels by Gu Man.
- Gu Man who wrote the source novel was also involved with the screenplay. She was appreciative of the efforts from the production team and made sure that everyone who took part in the writing of the drama were given due credit.
- Filming took place in Shanghai, China.
- Filming lasted around three months beginning August 22, 2015 and ending November 24, 2015.
- Yang Yang was invited by the game developers of New Chinese Ghost Story to appear for the launching of the game and he showed up to the presscon dressed as Xiao Nai.
- Mao Xiao Tong is a gamer in real life.
- Zheng Shuang tried to get in shape for the role but lost so much weight that she was only 35 kg at the time of filming. Netizens were saying that she looked thin as paper and she expressed that she can only do so much.
