Synopsis and Plot Summary
Qi Baico experiences a blow in her life that causes her to lose her motivation to compete yet the arrival of a new mentor may be just what she needs to continue the fight.
Qi Baicao (An Yuexi) has reached another milestone in her quest to become an excellent martial artist but she loses purpose due to the loss of a loved one. Chang'An (Ji Chang Wook) has been commissioned to train Baicao and even though his methods may seem cruel to most people, he actually has Bai Cao's best interests at heart, pushing her beyond her limits in an inspirational tale about students with a passion for martial arts.

Fun Facts
- Filming took place in Changsha, Tokyo, Singapore, Las Vegas and many other locations.
- It is the sequel to Whirlwind Girl.
- The ending of the original novel jumped forward seven years with many untold stories and characters that didn't make it into the 4-book series. Ming Xiaoxi had the opportunity to fill in the gaps through Whirlwind Girl 2.
- Aside from the main leads Hu Bingqing and Yang Yang who did not return, majority of the supporting cast including Chen Xiang, Wu Lei and Jiang Yiyi returned for the sequel.
- It is Korean actor Ji Chang Wook's first time to act in a Chinese TV series.
- During the screentest, An Yuexi gained the director's approval as her dance background and aura fit the character of Baicao.
- Ji Chang Wook worked hard to improve his Mandarin. The cast said he was very energetic on set and would often ask, "Have you eaten yet?"
- It is An Yuexi's first time filming an action-heavy drama. She has always anticipated having action scenes even as a young girl, but realized that it was actually very difficult to do. She often had to hang on wires, kick sand bags and also sustained injuries.
- Jiang Yiyi did all her stunts in season 1 without a double which is why the action choreographers thought that she had martial arts background. When filming season 2, they expected the same and she came home with huge bruises on the first day.
