Warriors of the City

In the city of Chang De, Communist party-member He Ping An (Wallace Chung) is a war veteran who has been living incognito for nine years, working under the guise of a police officer as he cares for the widow and child of his fallen comrade. During a mission, he encounters Shen Xiang Ling (Wang Li Ke), the daughter of a rice shop owner and the two immediately start off on the wrong foot. Nevertheless, their relationship evolves into an unlikely friendship. Alas, a looming catastrophe threatens to destroy the peace as the Japanese have launched a chemical warfare against the city. To protect the people, Ping An resumes his service as an agent and he engages in a deadly game of espionage.
