Synopsis and Plot Summary
It is a spinoff based on the movie Bodyguards and Assassins that featured a star-studded cast led by Donnie Yen. The drama tells the story of a rickshaw driver who through a series of events becomes a real revolutionary.
In the year 1910, Sun Zhong Shan arrives in Hong Kong to prepare for a large scale revolt against the Qing Dynasty and becomes the target of an assassination plot. Li Chong Guang volunteers to be a stand-in to mislead the enemy. He hires rickshaw driver Ah Si (Wallace Chung) to take him around where everyone can see. The enemy takes the bait and they find themselves completely surrounded. For more money, Ah Si drags the rickshaw and manages to break through the circle with Li Chong Guang in tow. However, he still wasn't able to make it because of his injuries. In order to appease their elderly mother, Li Yu Tang (Wu Gang) begs Ah Si to pretend to be his son for five days. Ah Si comes to Guangzhou and gets pulled into a completely different and dangerous world where he must uphold the Li family legacy as well as continue the fight as a revolutionary.
