Synopsis and Plot Summary
During the 1930's in the city of Shanghai, Zhou Jin (Han Xue) is a young woman raised by a dancer. Due to a chance encounter, she learns about her real identity as well as the mystery surrounding her birth father's death. Determined to uncover the truth, Zhou Jin and her friend Su Wen Zhi (Ma Tianyu) infiltrate the Shen Household, yet their road is fraught with peril because underneath the extravagant glamor of the Shen Household is a web of lies and complications. The eldest daughter of the Shen Household Fang Rou Zhi (Wang Lin) is not what she seems, 2nd miss Fang Qi (Xu Bai Ben) is a an arts student who puts up a front, 3rd Miss Ling Ge (Mao Xia Tong) returns from overseas looking for her father and 4th miss Yu Shan (Lei Yang) is greedy for money.
