Dilraba Dilmurat first received training in dance before discovering that she wanted to become an actress.
She graduated from the Shanghai Theater Academy where she became popular in school due to her beauty.
She made her acting debut as the lead in the Uyghur movie Anarhan.
She signed with Jaywalk Studio in 2014.
She put her name on the map after catching attention in supporting roles such in Yang Mi's xianxia drama Sword of Legend in 2014 and Tang Yan's drama Diamond Lover in 2015.
She rose to fame after playing the second lead Feng Jiu in the hit drama Eternal Love also known as Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.
She started venturing into variety show appearances by joining Keep Running Season 5 in 2017 in order to fill in for Angelababy while she was on maternity. Dilireba also became a regular for Go Fighting! Season 5 in 2019.
She and Karry Wang became Dolce & Gabbana brand ambassadors for the Asia Pacific region in 2018 but due to the brand getting caught in a controversy over a racist advertisement, both have discontinued their contracts.

During a show, Dilraba talked about having limited choices in terms of acting projects. Although she has many variety show appearances and endorsements, she was out of work with no drama or movie for eight months in 2019. She says that many find her look too commercial. Her agency chooses the scripts but she reveals that there aren't many good choices.
In 2020, many of Dilraba's fans were happy when rumors cropped that she would leave her agency as her contract was ending. Her fans have often complained and felt that Dilraba was being mistreated by her agency. Jaywalk Studio refutes the rumors to say that both parties are happy and Dilraba's contract hasn't expired yet.
She has been quite open about wanting to fall in love. She says that she would eventually want to settle down and have kids.
