Synopsis and Plot Summary

During the Ming Dynasty, the Emperor has not appointed a successor in spite of his failing health but he has invited Qi Wang (Alex Fong) to come to the palace. Because of it, people desperate to push Qi Wang out of the running for the throne attempt to assassinate him enroute.

Numerous murders occur within the capital and Shen Zi Mu (Huang Wen Hao) of Liu Shan Men turns a blind eye to avoid getting caught in a political warfare. Shen Li Xing (Raymond Lam) balks at his father's cowardice and he is determined to proceed with investigations alongside Su Yi Qing (Di Li Re Ba). Yet the conspiracies behind the deaths may be too big for the entire Liu Shan Men as it endangers everyone involved.
