Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story is about the abusive love between the half demon, Nie QingCheng, and the son of a well-off family, Ming Xia.
When the Allied Forces attacked Beijing during the end of the Qing dynasty, the lives of Nie RuFeng’s (Wang Mao Lei) whole family were threatened. In a matter of life and death, his wife, Ying Die (Ady An) bravely faced the enemies alone, leaving her husband and daughter behind. Fifteen years later, Nie RuFeng’s first daughter, Nie QingCheng (Li Yitong) meets Ming Xia (Zhang Zhe Han). In a chaotic world full of twist and turns, their love faces many obstacles.

- Filming took place in Hengdian World Studios.
- It is Li Yitong's first time playing the leading lady. She had a substantial amount of action scenes and thought that it was quite good to try wirework for the first time. Her dance background also paid off in that regard.

- Yu Zheng collaborated with musical composer Tan Xuan on the theme song We Are One.
- Yu Zheng intended for Li Yitong to play the second lead in Demon Girl but was moved by her acting so he got her to play the lead for a talent fee of 50,000 yuan.
