Synopsis and Plot Summary
Famous HK director Jiang Jia Jun takes on A Scholar Dream of Woman with a screenplay by Wang Cao Yong who also writes the original novel. Set during the Republican era, it tells a tale of a woman named Shen Bi Yun (Zhang Meng) who marries into the Xuan family to gain entry into Cang Shu Lou, a magnificent structure built to promulgate the culture and heritage of China. However, Shen Bi Yun has an ulterior motive because she has come to investigate the death of her father and she finds a partner in Xuan Xiao Ji (Han Dong), the 4th son of the Xuan family.
