Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that takes place in the palace and follows an orphan who has travelled thousands of miles to meet her family. When she is shunned by them, she starts on a journey to become a female scholar.

Banshu (Jing Tian) has been separated from her father since birth. She grew up to be independent and carefree as she travelled the grasslands. After eighteen years, she arrives at the capital only to learn that her father has passed away while the rest of her kin refuses to acknowledge her existence. Determined to be acknowledged by her own family, she finds a way to enter the palace to begin her studies to become a scholar. Her bold personality often gets her in trouble because of the rigid palace rules though it also brings laughter and joy to those around. She meets Wei Ying (Zhang Zhe Han), a righteous man and the two whose relationship started out rocky eventually fall in love.
