Synopsis and Plot Summary
The Children Are Home is thematically about overseas Chinese who return to the country to establish themselves, focusing on the ideals and aspirations of those born in the 80's and 90's. Zhang Jia Chao (Wan Qian), Jiang Meng Meng (Liu Fu Ling) and Zhang Zhao Yang (Cao Yun Jin) are cousins. Jia Chao is forced to return home because of her mother's health problem. Meng Meng returns after her schooling. Zhao Yang who is expelled from school moves back without anyone knowing. They each have problems of their own and coming home may just be the answer.
