Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story begins during the beginning of the Republican era about an ordinary family in Shanghai. Gou Ji Xiang's husband dies and she becomes the prime suspect. Desperate to get to the bottom of the truth, Gou Ji Xiang (Li Xiao Lu) becomes a female detective, partnering up with Mao Lu Yi (Jia Nai Liang) who is kind yet painstakingly arrogant such that their working relationship start out on the rocks. Many cases later and time well spent as a team, the two realize that they have become partners in the truest sense of the word.
