Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story about Wong Fei Hung as he devotes his life to his countrymen all while a romance ensues with Thirteenth Aunt.

Wong Fei Hung (Ryan Zheng) is a grandmaster in the world of wushu. He is also a man who's got the world in his heart and has saved numerous lives as a doctor. During his early years, he shed blood and sweat in Taiwan when he fought against the Japanese and was hailed a hero. Back in Guangzhou, he opened Bao Ling Zhi as he has decided to stay away from fighting and martial arts and to concentrate on medicine. However, circumstances force him back into the relentless fighting in jianghu and he takes up arms again to tell a legendary tale.

It is directed by Jeff Chiang with a screenplay by Cheung Tan.
Filming took place in Shanghai, Hengdian World Studios and Xiang Shan.
As Ray Lui doesn't speak Mandarin well, he was using Cantonese to say his lines. Ryan Zheng wondered whether it would be hard to act out scenes when he doesn't understand Cantonese so Ray Lui tried using Mandarin instead. Afterwards, Ryan Zheng said, "Director, Teacher Lui should speak Cantonese, I can't understand his Mandarin even more."
