Synopsis and Plot Summary
It tells a story about a woman who changes her name and marries into her enemy's family for the sake of vengeance.
On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the entire household of the wealthy Wang Family is killed leaving only their daughter Wang Peilan to escape with her life and assume the name Shang Haitang. Eight years later, Shang Haitang (Jia Qing) discovers that there are clues behind her family's massacre hidden within the Bao Family. She ends her relationship with her childhood lover and marries Bao Wenxun (Kim Jeong Hoon), the dim-witted son of the Bao Family.
When she discovers that Bao Wenxun has been keeping a secret to protect himself and is not what he appears to be, a partnership based on trust and love begins to form. In her search for the truth, Shang Haitang learns to manoeuvre through the infighting and power struggles taking place behind closed doors.

- To overcome the language barrier when filming, Jia Qing taught Kim Jeong Hoon Chinese while he taught her Korean.
- During their free time on set, the language barrier did not stop them from interacting freely.
- It is part of the dramas that were affected by the Hallyu Ban, an unofficial ban that was in effect in China to restrict all forms of Hallyu aka Korean Wave due to the political disagreement between China and Korea over THAAD.
