- It is an epic production that costed over 40,000,000 RMB, which was quite substantial for a TV series back in 2011. From casting to costumes to locations, the production team aimed for perfection to portray the legendary tale of Li Bing. The filming of Legend was a long time coming. It spent two years in development and three more years waiting in the sidelines to find the right company with the capability to tackle such a large scale project.
