- The idea of a drama adaptation based on a novel was initially suggested by Cecilia Liu, but she didn't have the bandwidth to take part in the project as she tries to only film one drama per year. - Due to the existing fanbase from the novel and the animated series, securing the rights for Legend of Qin was a challenge with many companies competing for the same thing. Negotiations took ten months until a deal was struck by the end of the year, giving Chinese Entertainment Corp. (Tangren) production rights to the drama.
- Filming took place in Hengdian and Xiangshan.
Dialogues/Quotes
"However much you love him, he will not even notice you.
No matter how much you give, you will not get any in return, because they don't know any better.
For this kind of defective relationship, it's better not to have this love."
- Xue Nu advices Duan MuRong on her love for Ge Nie (episode 9)
"Jing TianMing will never know the love you have for him, nor will he ever know how much you've done for him!
Are you willing (to see that)?
I don't care.
It's not important if he knows or not."
- Da SiMing confronting Shao SiMing on her love for Jing TianMing (episode 17)
"What I want, is to hide with the person I love.
To live a peaceful and calm life.
This person...This person, has been quietly taking care of me, protecting me, accepting me.
Even if the whole world sees me as their enemy, he could still quietly support me.
Even if this entire world has no place for me to be, if I was beside him, there's always a peaceful resting place.
This person...This person is you. Master."
- Shao SiMing confessing her feelings to Da SiMing before passing away :( (episode 33)
